Isn't it strange...

... the things that make you think?

I've been having a browse through some of the other blogs on this site... nothing overly weird about that, after all, the whole point of having an online blog is the hope that someone also online, somewhere will read it. But looking at some of the other things that people write about, well, I sort of feel inadequate in the random nonsense that sometimes passes for a blog entry from me!

Mostly I update it when things are going wrong, if I feel crappy or just need to vent about real life crap... I'm sure that I'm not alone there... writing about stuff here means that I don't have to piss off the people in my life by loading them up with all of the drivel that is spinning around in my brain (plus it also helps avoid getting those looks from people that say "hey buddy, you really do need to get some help for your mental problems and stop talking to me!!!")...

... Anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah, my feelings of blogging inadequacy. Some of the blogs I read were totally deep... the kind of thing that I could never in a million years even properly understand, let alone write! Majorly philosophical and chatting about things I didn't even know existed (sorry, got side-tracked there by someone at the door!). Either that or some of them were of a religious bent; mostly christian, and for some reason I'm about all out of patience with people that lay everything on God and take neither credit nor responsibility for their own actions. (The people that do that kind of thing are the very people that seem able to use their apparent faith to attack others for having differing beliefs, or use their belief as some sort of shield to protect themselves from the rightful comeback that they deserve for the things they've said... makes me sick and angry and I have no time for it anymore!)

Sometimes, well most of the time lately if I'm honest, I feel a real dunce. People seem to be discussing things I have no idea about, that rarely make sense to me (and I'm too afraid of looking stupid to ask them to explain, plus, by the time I get there the subject has moved on to something else... I'm chatting about Internet forum threads here). A lot of the time, the stuff I read can be deeply profound, and I wonder just where people get it from, is it a real place and could they please give me the directions of how to get there?! My rambling nonsense is banal and meaningless in comparison **sigh**

I wonder if being ill makes me feel more muddle-headed and confused or if I'm actually like that, but most of the time I fail to notice? Guess it's one of those questions it's best not to look too hard for the answer to.
