Sissy has a friend over and we were just laughing and joking with them by candlelight... it was really nice. The power came on about 30 minutes ago, and I was quite sad when it did as I was all ready to go to bed, but as soon as it came back on I started to wake up again because the lights were on, LOL!
I went outside just after it happened to see what life would have been like in the blackouts during the war... it wasn't a true blackout as the top of the hill and the bottom past us was still lit, but it must have been truly terrifying if everything had been black, and even the cars had to have virtually no lights on!! There was enough residual light outside here to make it light enough to see everything (very like the light of a full moon) so without that no wonder there were so many accidents and fatalities on the roads at night.
