The fruit looks lovely and the apple I ate actually made my taste buds tingle (never had that from an apple before). It also came with a welcome letter (that made me lol) a booklet containing lots of seasonal recipes and also a leaflet with details of other stuff they do (like the Re-Cycle campaign that they support).
I took some pictures (sad, I know).
Here is the box complete (I put the plums back in their cardboard punnet, and arranged it so that it could all be seen, it was a lovely fruity jumble before I did... the weird stuff by the plum punnet is the string that the box was wound in).
There are four apples (two now as two have been eaten, lol), four pears, six kiwis, six plums and five bananas... all organic and £10.50 plus 99p delievery. Not bad considering the cost of organic fruit that I've seen in the supermarkets. Even Dad commented on how "bloody beautiful and sweet" his apple was (and it must be good to get a reaction out of him... we don't call him Mr. Oblivious for nothing!)
There was only one tiny mark on one of the apples, and that is only where the stalk of one of the pears dug into it slightly (so I ate that apple first). The rest of the produce is perfect.
My only quibble is that there is not enough of it! I got the medium box and it is meant to feed 2-3 people... never would it stretch around that many people and still meet the five-a-day that we are all urged to consume. Anyway... I'm very happy with it so far, and I can't wait for the kiwis and plums to ripen (and nor can other people in the house... Dad has asked for a plum or two and I'm sure that Sissy has her eye on a couple of kiwis, LOL!)
All together I'm very impressed and would give them 9 1/2 out of ten stars (and the half star mark down is purely for there being not enough!! hehe)
