So, I've cancelled the domain name for here...

... it costs $10 dollars a year and seeing as I never used any of the features that the money paid for I really don't see the point of renewing it. It's not much money, but why should I pay out for stuff I don't use?

So the name of the blog has been changed back to the free host, mintys-mumblings.blogspot.com and it will stay that way in the future. I just hope that my cancelling the renewal money won't see this blog being deleted. I've asked a question about that in the Google accounts forum and am just awaiting a reply (I seriously hope not, and I'm hoping if I do lose it, that because I have until March before it expires that I'll be able to export my blog to somewhere else so that I don't lose anything!)

Switching to a custom domain very soon

I was given a little present of my own domain name today... so before long this will no longer be called mintys-mumblings.blogspot.com it will change to minty-the-pagan.com - very cool (even if the app market is baffling the hell out of me!)

Part of me is going to miss the old name as I've had it for so many years... and I don't doubt that I will go back to the free one in the future if our money situation becomes dire again (as it may do, who can tell what the future may bring?)

Using the old address for the blog won't matter as it will just redirect to the new site... so glad that it is all being taken care of by other people as I have no idea of all the places that I've left the old address at over the years, and I wouldn't know where to start in redirecting them all manually LOL!
