I lost my job yesterday!

The two boys we had in here lied to their mother, and she "hating confrontation" believed them, without even having the decency to talk to us about it and placed them somewhere else over the half term! Apparently a four year old cannot lie... hate to tell you, love, but yes they can, and your one certainly does! The only reason the kids didn't like being here is that we never gave into them and they had to follow our rules and do as they were told... something that their mother fails to get them to do on an epic scale! She once rewarded her youngest son for walking off by giving him a cake because he started crying! What kind of message is that sending?... in order to get what you want all you have to do is annoy your mum enough and tantrum her into submission!! Madness.

The very best of luck to whoever ends up collecting them, they'll need it... the oldest one is a liar and sneaky as hell and the youngest one is a manipulative little psycho that tries to bargain his way out of punishment... I have to say that I'm glad they are gone, I just wish I'd had some notice and also the money I'm owed, but that won't happen! The text messages she was sending earlier had more bullshit in them than a field of cows and I can see where her kids get their deceitfulness from.

Anyway... I still have one one little girl and she is lovely and thankfully now out of the presence of "the terrible two"... their bad behaviour was starting to rub off on her and we were actually thinking of getting new kids in and telling them to leave!!!. I've notified the council we now have vacancies and also asked the local school if they can let us know if any parents are looking for childcare. I don't really know what else to do... I'm not qualified to do anything else and if I start looking for a different job and then people want to come in, what do I do then? Money will be tight, very tight, but I think will can survive for awhile. Mum spoke to the mortgage company earlier and there is a new arrangement in place with them, so our house is safe, we have a few cutbacks to make (not wasting food, watching our utility use and getting rid of some of the cable tv, that kind of thing)... but hopefully with the warmer weather coming we will not be spending so much for gas and electricity anyway. I'm hoping that Mum is going to give up smoking, but I'm not holding my breath... there is more stress now and she isn't in the right frame of mind either, so not the best time to give up the one thing that calms you down, LOL!

The day has just been totally surreal, and I'm sick of thinking about it (as is Mum)... we are meant to be getting a text from "her" but I'm not holding my breath... I just find it amazing that a woman can be so gullible in thinking that her kids don't lie when they do it to her all the time... they broke her oven two months ago and they still haven't told her the truth about how it happened - but her kids don't lie... **sarcasm**

Oh dear... revisited

Kyah is leaving, too... we were given our one months' official notice by her Mum about five minutes ago.

I really am not all that sorry... it'll be a stretch, money-wise, but the other kids are so much calmer without her here, plus I have to keep taking her home every night, and it's not my responsibility to take the kids home, that should be up to the parents. I wouldn't mind, but there is always an eighteen year old that is perfectly capable of coming and getting her (as she is the one that opens the door to us when I take her back)... but I still have to take her home in the car, or somehow get her there on the bus (and she lives about a quarter of a mile from any buses and with the buses not running up the hill, and seeing as Kyah is a nightmare, using the bus is not a very good option).

Anyway... I feel calmer now that I know where we stand. We can start advertising for other kids now... fingers crossed we get some takers :)

Oh dear...

... Katie has left. Her Mum rang this morning to tell us that she won't be back. I'm not sure if we are getting our months' notice or not... Katie's Mum is not the easiest person to understand, between a mixture of talking quietly, quickly and with a very heavy accent, Mum can't be sure of what she actually said.

I am relieved on one hand, as it will make my school run with the boys all the more easy... but there is the money side of things to consider, too.

Add to that the fact that Kyah might also be leaving, and the good news about the car has just been countered by the bad news received today **sigh** Nothing is definite yet, we are waiting for Kyah's Mum to come in this afternoon and tell us what is going on with her job (if she knows).

I am not going to worry about it though (my saying that is a sure sign that I am worrying, by the way... I'm just writing it down in the hope that I'll do it!!)... PMA: Positive Mental Attitude (I really should try that one day soon!)... I must admit when I worry about things I make myself utterly miserable, but I can't get rid of the butterfly feeling in my stomach, which is a sure sign that I'm nervous about it all - and probably will be until I know where I stand.

I knew things were going too well lately (there I go with them negative thoughts again! hehe)

I've decided to leave UKP...

... at least for now. After being quite shocked by the attitudes of some of the posters in the obesity thread (well one in particular... stupid cow)... and then after writing out a long reply and being totally ignored, I've come to the conclusion that I might as well not be there. I've felt that way for a while now, I always get the feeling that whatever I say is never good enough, appreciated or even wanted, so why should I waste my time anymore? **shrugs**

I've deleted everything over there, but I've left my blog as it will gradually get pushed down the listing as others update theirs... my avatar, sig, profile info and profile picture have all gone. I'm not going to tell anyone as there is no-one there that will care, so why bother. If I did then I would only get people coming along and slagging me off for being an attention whore and be accused of trying to get sympathy or trying to get people to change my mind... I've seen it happen before and I don't what to have it happen to me.

I've removed the link from my links here... if anyone wants to visit the forum go to http://thevalley.ukpagan.com... and good luck if you do!

CRAP!!!

Have just been told today that one of the kids is leaving! Apparently her Mum is going to college at the end of September and so we are under our month's contractual termination notice. I have a feeling it's mainly to do with the fact that I won't (well I don't see why I should really) pick the girl up from school... she's starting secondary school, has free bus travel under the oyster scheme here in London, yet her mother expects me to pick her up everyday (yet isn't prepared to pay the cost of fuel for the car!)... I don't think so!

We also have a three year old starting nursery, and a five year old to collect, both in different schools. So who would get priority? Mum can collect one child, I can collect another, so who do I get? I would have thought it was fairly obvious that you collect the ones that can't bring themselves home... no?! Kids of three and five have to be collected, or there is the 11 year old that can get herself back on the bus (for free, I might add). Not exactly brain surgery, eh?

I think the thing that annoyed me the most is that the 11 year old's mother had tried to blackmail us before giving the notice to leave... collect my daughter or else she's leaving! That made me want to call her bluff and tell her to go, right there!

We can cope... just! We are going to have to cut back on things, again, but hopefully we'll be ok (I can't believe that we haven't had many phone calls about work, and the ones that do come round to see us never get back to us, which really ticks me off, no end... surely common curtesy would dictate that if you're not interested that you call and say thanks, but no thanks?!)

I'm doing all I can not to worry, and am distracting myself with stuff online... I found a site that has loads of MST3K episodes (some I've never seen) available to watch for free (my favourite price, lol) so that's helping. Other than that I listen to music, read or cook, all of which calm me down somewhat.

**Sigh** Sometimes I'd just like people to stop being arseholes, it would be so bloody nice!!!!!
