I went to a forum I used to work at, under a different name (my original account is not very welcome over there anymore)... and I can't believe some of the nonsense that people actually believe!
One girl is arguing about the bible, saying that it is inerrant and "the Word of God" and the evidence she provides for her argument is? The bible! So basically, her argument is that the bible says it's the Word of God so it must be true! I don't understand that at all. If I were to pick any other subject on the planet and use such scanty evidence to support my claims I would be laughed at... and rightly so.
I don't know... I have no idea why I even went back there to be honest. I've spent a few hours there and already my head hurts, my eyes ache, I'm shaking my head in confusion and wondering about the sanity of some of these people! The circular arguments (the bible is true because the bible says it is) just make my head spin. I feel like I've been in some kind of timewarp all day... the people may be different, but the voices and opinions are the same. The thing that saddens me is that these are young people saying these things... people in their 20s that should be able to use common sense, logic and reason, but they don't because they have been taught that a book tells them everything they need to know. It makes me very sad... and also very glad that I wasn't raised that way (and that I don't live in an environment that actively teaches from such a narrow view point).
Judging from the stuff I've just read, I'd rather be a heretic, or an idolater (for my pagan beliefs) than be tied to their narrow and restricted ideas about deity. I've read 90% of the bible... and the message of Jesus was clear to me after one reading... love God and everyone else - no exceptions. That's it... all the rest is meaningless, as if you're following that ^^^ you won't be breaking any laws. You won't be stealing, or harming others... you won't be envious of their possessions and you won't be killing them.
How can I have read the bible and got such a simple message from it... but others have done the same and twisted it into something so complicated? I just don't get it *shrugs*

I'm currently working on a new site... slowly!
Path of the Moonwitch
I just want to bring all of my craft life together in one place, the spells, blessings, my thoughts, etc.
It has given me a dreadful headache so far, as I'm not very website savvy, and blogging is really the upper end of my skill as far as this kind of stuff goes LOL! But I got the opportunity to have a go for free when I bought the domain, so I really have nothing to lose in having a go. Even if I am unhappy with it and delete it in the end, at least I can say I tried.
It is nowhere near finished, and I hope you can see it now (I've been struggling for about two hours to find out how to do that... and I've just found out after giving myself the headache **sigh** )
There are a couple of spells, and my definition of what I think a Moonwitch is (only my opinion, though, others are free to differ and that is fine).
Anyway, I'm off to bed, to rest my aching skull.

That is such a beautiful noise...
... the sound of rain hammering down on the gazebo roof just under my bedroom window... doesn't make me feel any less crappy, but it's a lovely sound all the same! Hehe. So glad I didn't water the garden earlier, not that I had the energy to do it, but the thought was there. You can't beat a good drop of rain.
This cold is really starting to make me feel like the grumpiest person on the planet now... all I hear myself saying is how nasty I feel. I must stop it, I'm starting to annoy myself now. The thing that is annoying me the most is the sneezing... not little ones either, but huge, hurt your chest, have you wetting yourself and making you feel as if you're going to blow the top of your head off ones... the ones that give you an instant headache *sigh*
The arm on my glasses broke off earlier today! Filled me with terror that did, my eyesight is putting it bluntly, utter shit and without my glasses I can barely see anything (to give an example, take a piece of glass, smear it with vaseline and try and look through it... that is how bad my eyesight is without glasses!). I only have the one pair of specs and I cannot afford to get any new ones just right now. Fortunately Mum dashed to our corner shop and brought a tube of the strongest super glue they had, and it seems to have persuaded the little piece of metal holding the arm in place to stay put... for now. I have to be very careful with my glasses now, and the left arm is fused in place, but I can see and I didn't have to resort to the old "sticking plaster repair", so it's all good, lol! I really have to get some new glasses soon, though, especially as I don't know just how long the repair will last... I suppose I shouldn't really complain, I have had this pair of glasses for going on eight years! LOL.
Who was the bright spark that thought it would be a good idea to put onions into salmon paste?! I can assure them that if I ever find out who it was I shall do them a grave injury!
Anyway, I suppose I really should try and get some sleep... last night was a disaster, sleep-wise... I went to bed at 9.40 pm, I was woken up every hour by noisy people (Sissy and Pingu) going to the bloody toilet (which is next to my bedroom) and then the noisy cow next door starting doing something in her kitchen (which shares a wall with my bedroom) which woke me up completely at 1.07am, and she kept my awake until gone 4am! If it keeps on I'm going to have words with her, selfish cow, I can't handle the double onslaught of noise! I can handle either noise here or in there, but not both at once. I have been forced to listen to my MP3 player, just to try and block it all out... don't get me wrong, I adore Siouxsie and the Banshees (the album that is currently the first one that plays when I turn it on), but sometimes all I want is peace and quiet!! Is that too much to ask for in the early hours of the morning?!?!
I've just had a damn fly buzz me in the right ear!! Freaked me the hell out and now I'm not going to be able to sleep until it's either gone away or dead... bring on the Raid!
All told this has been a day that I am going to try and quickly forget... it sucked... BIG TIME!!

What a way to start the new year!!
I had a headache, and I only had one newcastle brown ale shandy, so I can't even blame the drink, LOL!!
I actually made some resolutions for this year, I will probably break them all, but I'll have a go just the same, hehe.

- Eat more sensibly.
- Lose some weight (at least two stone).
- Get more exercise.
- Chill out and stop moaning.
- Stop worrying.
- Stay positive.

So much for the early night!
I'm still sat in front of the laptop and the time is now 1.41am! I am over-tired and extremely bored, LOL!!
The house is all quiet and I am the only one awake now... even the cats are sound asleep (or as asleep as cats ever get, anyway).
It started to rain here again earlier and I was just stood there ironing listening to it... I really do love the sound of the rain, it calms me. On the plus side I think that my headache is finally going, on the minus side I have to get up early in the morning to take my Dad to the doctors **sigh**
The wind was so bad last night that it broke our gazebo legs (actually the plastic connector joints between the roof and the top of the legs)!! We seem to have bad luck with gazebo's... we lost one a few years back when it almost blew over next doors' fence and got all torn up, we lost one to the dreadful snow earlier this year (the sheer weight of it broke all of the legs) and the strong wind yesterday almost claimed another one, but we managed to fix it by using some of the parts from the one the snow killed, LOL!! So glad that we took in the expensive patio umbrella! Knowing our luck it would have been smashed to pieces or been blown away, never to be found again, hahaha.

Happy yet so very sleepy
I've have such a headache today... I've had it all day and no amount of painkillers has been able to shift it :(
It was probably all of the driving I did yesterday... five hours solid behind the wheel and most of it on roads that were dark (and I mean dark, no lights save for my own headlights)... plus on the way back from Brighton after dropping Sissy off I got lost, again! I ended coming home on the A24 which is a lovely road (dark, of course) but I really enjoyed driving it... I must see about finding it again in daylight, I think it would be a beautiful drive if I could actually see it, LOL!! At one point the road was almost a tunnel of trees, albeit skeletal branches now that the leaves have gone.
I must have a look in the map book and see if I can find the name of the village where we stopped and had a bite to eat, I would love to go back there again one day soon.
I'm really tired and I think that I'm going to head off to bed now (incredibly early night for me, usually I'm not in bed before 1am)... I am just having great trouble in keeping my eyes open, though.
